Selling Stickers

This first business is one that you probably won't consider to be possible to make money from, and that is selling stickers. There is this particular seller I found on Etsy that has only been selling stickers since 2020, which is about 3 years. Since then, they have sold over 196,000 stickers and have earned over 1.1 million dollars just over the past three years.

This comes up to a $366,000 per year or about $34,650 per month. Consider the possibilities if you were to earn an additional $34,000 per month in income? At this point you are probably wondering "that's great Kingsley, but how exactly can I do this for myself?". Well, the first thing you need to do is actually create the sticker designs.

And we are going to do this using a completely free AI program called Midjourney to do all the designing for us. Midjourney is a text to image converter that will convert simple text descriptions into full-blown images. That is what you are going to use to create an unlimited number of sticker designs that are completely copyright free. All you'll do is type in the different types of sticker prompts that you want.

Maybe you are thinking to yourself "yeah, but I don't even know what type of stickers the AI to create", for this we are going to use another AI called ChatGTP. All you are going to do is to type into ChatGTP something like "give me descriptive ideas for sticker designs" and as you'll see, ChatGTP will start giving out the response and different ideas.

When I typed into ChatGTP, one suggestion that I was given was 'a cat playing video games' so what you'll do is take that and put it into the prompts of Midjourney, make sure you include sticker into the description and automatically Midjourney will provide you with a sticker of a cat playing a video game. You can play around with the prompts for as much as you want.

It's one thing to come up with designs but now you actually have to sell them and there are really two different ways to go about this. The first way is by using some type of print on demand company to print and ship these stickers for you, or if you want to retain as much of the profit as possible you can just print the stickers yourself at home and ship them yourself.

This process is actually a lot easier than you think. The only thing that you will need is a regular printer, you will also need an electronic cutting machine which sounds way more complicated and expensive than it actually is. And finally some cheap sticker papers. With the tools that I just mentioned, I managed to create some of these stickers by myself with literally no experience.

To be transparent with you, I didn't use the electronic machine. I hand-cut all that I made by myself. These all started as a prompt and now I can go and put it on a water bottle or something. These stickers are incredibly high quality and legitimate and guys, this is not hard to do at all. In terms of shipping these stickers to your customers, I would recommend using some type of rigid mailer.

You can buy them on Amazon for about 27 cents per mailer and this will ensure that the stickers don't bend during shipping. Printing out a label using Etsy's label tool assuming that you are using Etsy to sell your stickers. To print the label, you can just use plain simple papers, just print out the label, cut it out and paste it on your envelope.

Another option for selling these stickers is by using a print on demand company and in both scenarios whether you're just printing them out yourself or you are using a website, selling your stickers on Etsy will be the best option. We are barely scratching the surface when it comes to this business. Wedding Invites

Another extremely popular item to sell on websites like Etsy are wedding invitations. And I found a few sellers on Etsy selling wedding invitations and different stationary. This seller on Etsy called XoXoKristen has close to 55,000 sales and has earned over 1.5 million dollars just by selling wedding invitations. Now if that doesn't shock you, what will shock you is how simple these invitations are to create with AI.

Back in Midjourney, you are going to ask the AI to create floral wedding invitations for you. And as you'll see when you give it a try, the AI will create some remarkable invitations and you can now use the upscale feature within Midjourney to increase the resolution of any of the images that you wish to use.

After that, you can take those invitations into Photoshop or a free Photoshop alternative called Photopea to edit the text that the AI generates. Remember that these will be custom invitations so the names will change depending on the customer. You would want to print these invitations out using some type of card stock which are cheaper on Amazon.

Selling Bookmarks

The next work from home business is selling bookmarks, I found a few sellers on Etsy who have dedicated their whole shop to selling bookmarks. A seller named Aetherealbooks already has 8,200 sales and has earned nearly $80,000. Considering how easy this business is to start and how you can do it as your side hustle, an extra $80,000 is pretty great.

We are going to head back to Midjourney and have the AI do all the design for us for these bookmarks. You want the AI to create some abstract bookmarks for you, and after just a few seconds, the magic of the AI will manage to come up with some incredible designs which are impressive. However, you can play around with these prompts as much as you want.

For example, I might ask the AI to create bookmarks with animals reading books on them or bookmarks with anime characters if you want. Just anything that you can think of because the possibilities are truly endless. Once you have created these bookmarks with the AI tool, you simply head over to Photopea and open up a new project. Select the tab that says 'print' and then select the A4 option which is the size of a standard piece of printing paper.

Bring in one of your bookmark images that you created with the AI and then rotate the image so that the bookmarks go down the paper long way. And then similar to the stickers we mentioned earlier, you cut them out after you print them. You want to use some type of electronic cutting machines, you can typically buy these on Amazon for around $100 to $150 or alternatively you can just use a pair of cutters to cut out the bookmarks manually.

In terms of the type of paper, you can use a thick paper with a sticker-like texture, which will make your bookmarks look a lot more premium. Alternatively, you can use regular printing paper and then use a cheap laminating tool to laminate them.

Selling Planners

Now, this last business can easily be a million-dollar business, and that's selling planners. There are shops on Etsy that have over 40,000 sales and made close to one million dollars just by selling planners. Getting started with this business is easy not only because we are using AI to create the planners but for this particular business, I actually think it will be better to run everything on a print-on-demand service.

This means that you have to sacrifice some amount of revenue, but for the amount of time that you will save, I think it's worth it. If you go on Etsy right now and search for planners, you will see that all the shops out there are using some type of pattern. Whether it's a floral pattern or some stripes or something a little bit more abstract.

These types of designs are not complicated to create with AI. Just give Midjourney a prompt for, let's say, a floral pattern design and with that prompt, you will get exactly what you asked for. All you will do is just take these floral designs and use some type of print-on-demand service to turn your floral design files into actual planners.
