Six Effective Methods for Utilizing Prompt Engineering

Prompt engineering is simply the art of interacting with language models. It's how you talk with language models like ChatGPT. It’s about asking the right questions to get the best answers. For example, on ChatGPT. Let’s say you want to generate domain names. Anyone can say, "Generate 5 domain names about email marketing." 

Delete this chat, and I will paste now my unique customized prompt to generate domain names. I will say also, "Email marketing is a niche." And now, let’s take a look at this prompt and the answer. You can see we are getting domain names with relevance, why it’s effective, and so on. We are getting better responses, better answers by utilizing these power prompts. 

So, prompt engineering is how to create powerful prompts to get the best answers out of language models like ChatGPT or GoogleBot, among others. And not only that, the other aspect of prompt engineering is how to build and create automation scripts.

If you are following, for example, I built the ChatGPT earthquake script that can search the web, scrape the content, and then summarize it, giving you like a content research report in a couple of seconds. So, in automation scripting, we combine power prompts with scripting to automate a certain workflow.

So, this in short is prompt engineering. In a little bit, I will share with you one of the best valuable resources to learn prompt engineering starting from now. Just bear with me a little bit. Let's now go back to our main topic and see our six effective methods to leverage prompt engineering.

I think this is the easiest or simplest approach, which is offering prompt templates. Here, we have two options. Number one is to offer individual prompts on prompt marketplaces. For example, you can go to promptbase.com, create an account, and begin offering. Click on "sell" here and submit your prompts. You can see in my account I have bought all these prompts from PromptBase. 

Another website is Snack Prompt. You can go there, sign up, create, and offer your prompts. The other approach in this strategy is to offer an exclusive prompt library. For example, I offer this exclusive prompt library on my website. You can package multiple prompts like this one here and offer them together. To help you, I created two comprehensive guides: one on how to craft and create powerful prompts and the other on how to offer these prompts. You just need these guides to get started with this strategy.

But wait a little bit. Let’s see the other five strategies. Maybe you will change your mind and go for something more advanced.

As I mentioned before, prompt engineering has two aspects. The other aspect is about creating automation scripts. We can combine a power prompt with a script to automate a certain workflow. For example, let me show you this. I created this sample script. Here, we have this power prompt that is combined with this script to rewrite articles. Let’s go here and run this. By the way, it’s not that complicated to build these scripts. It’s really simple if you understand how to build these scripts. I will tell you how in a little bit. Just bear with me, please. You can see here a simple interface: you paste the article here and click on "start," and it will rewrite the article. 

So, you can build these scripts and offer them. Instead of offering a prompt, you build and offer automated scripts. You can go to websites like Gumroad to offer various digital products like scripts, prompts, anything you want. This is somehow more advanced, which involves building customized AI solutions or tools for your clients. For example, last week, I showed you how to build an AI tool on WordPress. You can provide this service to your clients. I mentioned in that video that I would be publishing the YouTube title generator tool, an AI tool that generates the best YouTube titles. It’s now published and live on my website. You can see it here. You can build these tools for your clients.

You can access the full details and utilize it to provide a freelancing service or gig. What’s nice about these services is that it's still new, with low competition. Now is the ideal time to begin. If you wait for a couple of months, the competition will be higher, and you will need to market more.

Instead of offering a prompt, a prompt template, or a script, you build an AI API and offer it on marketplaces. For example, you can build an AI content generator and offer it on RapidAPI.
